Spirit Quartz is native to South Africa and it's growth patterns can range from fingers to plates to crazy clusters growing in random directions! Also known as Cactus Quartz, it has a somewhat cactus like look to it in the way that all of it's points grow, which are usually small, druzy like formations. When it leaves the ground it is quite dirty - covered in clay and dirt. It's only after an extensive cleaning process that you see the crystals as you do. It can range from white to purple to (quite rarely) yellow.
