"Snowflake obsidian is a volcanic glass that forms when lava from a volcano cools rapidly, causing minimal crystal growth. It's a black rock with white or gray patches that resemble snowflakes. The white patches are actually small, white needle-shaped crystals that form in a circular pattern as the rock breaks down over time."

They're wonderful for creating crystal grids or using in crystal healing body layouts. Tumbled stones are one of my favorite forms of crystals because they are so versatile and affordable.

Black Obsidian is a volcanic glass, formed by fast cooling lava. It resonates with our Earth Star chakra. Black Obsidian is highly grounding and protective. It has long been used in Scrying, a form of Divination. The Ancient Aztecs used Black Obsidian for healing, they believed it was hardened fire (and they were right!). Black Obsidian is cleansing and removes unwanted energies from your field. It is a powerful stone, sometimes it can be too grounding, so I recommend using it in small doses until you become accustomed to its energy.
