A polished, self standing free form of Anhydrite with an interesting vug. It has, at an angle in light, a metallic sheen that is very similar to lepidolite. The Chrome Diopside included is along it's backside, which is a crystalline green. Inside of the vug are biotite crystals.

He named it Diopside for the Greek words “dis” meaning double and “opse” meaning face, after the fact that Diopside crystals form in double sided prismatic faces.
